PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To individually and surely manage, for each user, the rental of practice golf balls in a golf practice range and the payment of fees without using a prepaid card or the like.;SOLUTION: A golf ball rental system in a golf practice range includes: a managing computer 10 that stores membership information about a golf practicing user and that manages a deposit from the user to settle the payment of ball rental fees; and a ball vender 20 that is connected to the managing computer and that rents balls when rental fees corresponding to the number of rental practice golf balls specified by the user are within a balance of the deposit for use. Then, through the confirmation of user identification by the collation of a code number inputted by the user himself/herself with the member's face photo extracted from the membership information correspondingly to the code number, the use of the code number is validated.
