PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a Co3O4/CeO2 composite catalyst for exhaust gas purification having purification performance of unreacted substances such as CO in exhaust gas at low temperature.;SOLUTION: The method for producing the Co3O4/CeO2 composite catalyst for purifying CO in exhaust gas includes processes of: preparing a starting material of two types of metal oxide having 70% or more and 100% or less of a mass proportion of Co with respect to a total amount of Co and Ce [Co/(Co+Ce), by %]; applying shearing stress to a mixed solution of the starting material and a neutralizer by ultra stirring to mix the mixed solution and generating a mixture including a precursor of Co3O4 and a precursor of CeO2; separating powder from the mixture including the precursors; and drying and burning the obtained powder to generate a mixture of Co3O4 nano-particles and CeO2 nano-particles.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
