PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new 2,3-dicyanonaphthalene derivative substituted by various hydrocarbon groups at the fifth to eighth positions of the 2,3-dicyanonaphthalene ring.;SOLUTION: This 2,3-dicyanonaphthalene derivative is expressed by formula (1) [wherein, R1 to R4 are each independently a group selected from among H, a 1-8C alkyl and a group expressed by -C6H4X {wherein, X is a group selected from among Cl, F, CH3, OCH3, CF3, CN and COOR (wherein, R is a 1-6C alkyl), but at least one of the R1 to R4 is a group other than H}; and R5, R6 are each independently a 1-12C alkyl].;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
