PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety system of an elevator capable of operating the elevator without impairing safety even if a sheave is worn.;SOLUTION: A safety operation system of an elevator includes a means for measuring a rotation number of a sheave 6 of the elevator 1, a means for measuring a moving distance of a car 3, and a means for calculating a wear amount of the sheave 6 from information, and when the calculated wear amount exceeds a set value, the allowable load amount, operation speed or acceleration/deceleration of the elevator 1 is limited by resetting it to a value lower than a prescribed value, and the safety of the operation is improved. Also, when a plurality of elevators 1 are provided together, the priority order of the allocation of the elevator to a call is lowered for a group management controller 10.
