PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress damage resulting from connection of an illegal tool even when the illegal tool is connected to a bus.;SOLUTION: A gateway device 2 is so connected as to demarcate a too-side bus 10 to which a legal operator can connect a legal tool 16 and an ECU-side bus 19 to which ECUs 25, 26 are connected. When it is determined that an illegal tool 31 to access an ECU is connected to the ECU-side bus 19, for example, the ECU to be accessed is changed from an actuated state to a halt state to disturb transmission and reception of data between the illegal tool 31 and the ECU to be accessed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
