PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform releasing of a can-less fiber sliver package by a simple form.;SOLUTION: In an apparatus for throwing/placing the fiber sliver in the spinning machine, the apparatus is provided, which has a delivery device (rolling up plate) for delivering the fiber sliver; and an approximately flat receiving/supporting surface receiving the fiber sliver and collecting it in the form of the can-less fiber sliver package. The receiving/supporting surface is approximately unenclosed, the receiving/supporting surface and the delivery device are displaceable relative to each other and the receiving/supporting surface is horizontally reciprocable. The apparatus has a device for displacing (releasing) the collected fiber sliver from a throwing/placing area to the outside in the form of the can-less fiber sliver package. A storage device in which at least one fiber sliver package can be stably positioned is arranged so as to facilitate releasing of the can-less fiber sliver package in order to receive at least one fiber sliver package.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
