PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an isopentane fraction, by which a high purity isopentane fraction is stably recovered even when the amount of light naphtha or the content of isopentane in the light naphtha is largely varied, and to provide an apparatus for separating isopentane.;SOLUTION: The apparatus for separating isopentane includes: a distillation column 11 for separating an isopentane fraction form light naphtha; a column bottom part heating means 13 for heating the bottom part 11b of the distillation column 11; and a column top part cooling means 12 for cooling the top part 11a of the distillation column 11. In the method for producing an isopentane fraction, the temperature of the distillation column 11 is controlled by increasing the heating amount by the column bottom part heating means 13 when the column bottom temperature becomes equal to or lower than a set lower limit value, in such a state that the column top temperature is set to be constant, and by reducing the heating amount by the column bottom part heating means 13 when the column bottom temperature becomes equal to or higher than a set upper limit value.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
