Channel type electron multiplier

The configuration (501) has a single channel-channel electron multiplier (502) for reception of an incoming particle. A single body multichannel-channel electron multiplier (503) is arranged behind the single channel multiplier (502) for reception of emissions of the multiplier (502). An electron-collector (520) e.g. Faraday cup, is arranged behind the multi-channel multiplier (503). The electron collector generates pulse current as a reaction to the emissions of the multiplier (503).
