Provided is a connector wherein the Young's modulus of an interconnector material is minimized, warping in silicon cells is avoided when the cells are connected with the connector material, and when a solar cell is bonded with the connector material and the connector is not damaged by the HEAT cycle that occurs when the cell is used. An interconnector material for a solar cell comprises copper flat wire with an area ratio of 20-90% for a (100) face that is orthogonal to the rolling direction, 0.2% resilience at 150Mpa or less and a Young's modulus of 110GPa or less. The manufacturing method thereof comprises manufacturing an interconnector member for a solar cell by: casting either oxygen-free copper or tough pitch copper, reheat processing same, hot rolling same with the last hot rolling pass taking place at 500C or less and COLD rolling same thereafter at a reduction of 80-95%, re-crystallization HEAT processing same at 200-600C for 30 minutes and machining slits therein.
