PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera system, a camera device, a camera system control method, a controller control program, and a camera device control program capable of suitably omitting origin detection processing in accordance with a situation when power supply is started.;SOLUTION: A camera system comprises a camera device 1 and a video conference terminal 2. The video conference terminal 2 is controlled so as to be capable of supplying power to the camera device 1. When the camera device 1 is connected to the video conference terminal 2, the video conference terminal 2 calculates similarity. The similarity is calculated on the basis of present static image data and static image data prior to interruption of power. If the similarity is equal to or larger than a threshold, the video conference terminal 2 determines that the imaging direction of the camera device 1 has not changed.
