PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a band brake device capable of reducing the repeated loads of flexural stress acting on a brake band, thereby improving the durability of the brake band.;SOLUTION: A band brake device of fully automatic washing machine according to an embodiment comprises: a brake drum disposed at an output shaft rotatably driving a rotary tub as a washing tub and a dewatering bin in which laundry is contained; a drum cover disposed in the surroundings of the brake drum; a brake lever; and a brake band having a shape which overlaps the curve of a drum surface of the brake drum, one end being fixed to the outer circumference of the drum cover and the other end being connected to the brake lever so that the brake band can touch with and separate from the drum surface by an action of the brake lever. The one end of the brake band is extending linearly in a tangential direction of the curve of the drum surface to be held in a linear state and fixed to the outer circumference of the drum cover.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
