PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently form methane by reduction of carbon dioxide by using light.;SOLUTION: Carbon dioxide is brought into contact with a methane formation agent in which a plurality of gold fine particles adhere on surfaces of titanium oxide particles having an anatase-type crystal structure, and light is emitted to the methane formation agent.
