PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing deposition on a structure, which enables chipping operations to be more safely and efficiently performed, and a removal device for the same.;SOLUTION: A fence member F capable of being detachably attached to a stage S and a rock-drill holding device D annexed to the fence member F are used, while a lower portion of a support 10 constituting the rock-drill holding device D is fixed at an arbitrary position in the lower portion of the fence member F. A holding base 20 constituting the rock-drill holding device D is mounted on the upper portion of the support 10. The height of the support 10 is adjusted in a fixing position, the rock drill K on the holding base 20 is slide-moved forward and backward to bring the leading end close to the deposition on the structure, and subsequently, the rock drill is operated. The rock drill K performs the deposition-chipping work, while being revolved in the longitudinal, vertical and horizontal directions on the holding base 20.
