PSOLUTION: The shock absorbing body has a plurality of connection plates 2, 3 and 4 extending in parallel with a direction perpendicular to a shock load direction with a gap provided mutually in the shock load 20 direction and shock absorbing tube units 1. The shock absorbing tube unit 1 includes a shock absorbing tube 1a and a constraint plate 1b fixed previously by welding to the both ends thereof. The plurality of shock absorbing tube units 1 is juxtaposed between the mutually adjacent connection plates 3 and 4, and the connection plates 2, 3 and 4 and the constraints plate 1b are joined by either of fitting into a groove, bolts, SPOT welding, rivets and or an adhesive. The three or more connection plates 2, 3 and 4 are disposed in parallel with intervals provided therebetween in the shock load 20 direction and the array of the plurality of shock absorbing tube units 1 is disposed in multiple stages among the connection plates 2, 3 and 4.
