PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disperse pressure exerted on a door of a tunnel boring machine from an inflatable bag when the door is closed. PSOLUTION: The door 4 constituted of: a door plate 21 an upper-side wheel 22a and a lower-side wheel 22b provided on both side surfaces of the door plate 21, an upper-side stopper 23 provided at the upper side of the rear surface 21b of the door plate 21, and a lower-side stopper 24 provided at the lower side of the rear surface 21b of the door plate 21 is arranged in an opening on the face side of each of small cross-section excavation partitions 2A-2D. A first rail and a second rail 32b for the opening and closing of the door 4 and for the upper-side wheel 22a and the lower-side wheel 22b to slide over and a groove 32 for housing the upper-side stopper 23 are arranged in a wall 17 in each of the small-section excavation partitions 2A-2D. A lower-side stopper receiver 33 for supporting the lower-side stopper 24 when closed is arranged in a floor part 18 in each of the small cross-section excavation partitions 2A-2D.
