PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic wave particle size measuring instrument capable of quantitatively and stably measuring the particle size of a measurement object particle, and an ultrasonic wave particle size measurement method.;SOLUTION: A ultrasonic wave particle size measuring instrument 10 includes a transducer 1, a pulser receiver 2, and an analysis part (computer 3). The transducer 1 irradiates an ultrasonic wave to a measurement object particle 40. The pulser receiver 2 applies an electrical spike wave for generating an ultrasonic wave to the transducer 1, and amplifies a converted electric signal after the transducer 1 converts the ultrasonic wave reflected by the measurement object particle 40 to an electric signal. The analysis part calculates a particle size of the measurement object particle 40. The analysis part measures a sedimentation rate of the measurement object particle 40 in a sample cell 4 before measuring the particle size of the measurement object particle 40, and sets a measurement condition for measuring the particle size of the measurement object particle 40 in the pulser receiver 2 on the basis of the measured sedimentation rate.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
