PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape printer capable of easily making a printed matter of the same size as an object to be taken by correcting data capturing in an image by using conveying ratio of an image capturing in side and a printing side. PSOLUTION: The tape printer has a reference medium printing means for printing a reference tape 61 as a reference medium having a predetermined reference printing pattern, a printing side conveying ratio calculating means for calculating the conveying ratio of a printing side conveying means using the reference tape 61, an image capturing in side conveying ratio calculating means for calculating the conveying ratio of an image capturing in side conveying means by capturing in the reference printing pattern printed in the reference tape 61, a correction factor calculating means for calculating the correcting factor of the image data taken in by the image capturing device by carrying out the calculation of 1/("a printing side conveying ratio"×"an image capturing in side conveying ratio"), and an image correcting means for correcting the image data by multiplying the length of the image data taken in by the image capturing device in a conveying direction with the correction factor calculated by the correcting factor calculating means.
