PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microscope system capable of displaying generated fluorescence in a more easily visible manner and to provide a recording method for visualizing fluorescence.;SOLUTION: An image sensor and a circuit related to the image sensor are used for recording a series of fluorescent images. The image sensor has a plurality of pixels for accumulating charge generated by incident radiation and the circuit converts the charge accumulated in the pixels into a binary number. The gain of the circuit can be adjusted. The gain is set to a suitable maximum value at the start of a recording process. When the luminance value of one or more recorded images is determined as a value exceeding a suitably selected maximum luminance value in the recording process, the gain is reduced. By setting the gain to the maximum value at the start of recording, an important image signal can be surely obtained even by weak fluorescence.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
