PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recycled paper smoothing technique that can reproduce a smooth recycled paper without wrinkles by smoothing treatment of a paper surface of wet paper paper-formed at a papermaking process section in an extremely narrow waste paper treating space which is a water paper recycling apparatus having a furniture size.SOLUTION: A recycled paper smoothing device includes a smooth surface roll part 180 as a recycled paper smoothing treatment part. The smooth surface roll part 180 is provided in an upstream side of a heating and drying part of a drying belt conveyor part, and presses in a rotating manner an entire portion in a width direction of wet paper RPbeing conveyed on a smooth surface belt 145 with a predetermined pressing force in an interlocking fashion with the smooth surface belt 145, to smooth both side surfaces of the wet paper RPto thereby reproduce a smooth recycled paper RP without wrinkles.
