PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for production of a skin-whitening agent with an excellent whitening action exhibiting excellent hypochromic and whitening effects such as for pigmentation after sunburn, flecks, freckles and chloasma. PSOLUTION: The process includes extraction of one or more pulverized plant seeds selected from plant genera of Thuja, Rubus, Vaccinium, Actinidia and Perilla after maturation at 10-35°C and relative humidity of 20-90% for one week or more.
