PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a SATA connector and a computer equipped with the SATA connector.SOLUTION: A SATA connector in the invention is connected to a hard disc drive of a computer, and comprises: a housing; a pin base that is positioned at the housing and is equipped with first to third metal terminals; a power-supply pin that is connected to the first metal terminal of the pin base; a ground pin that is connected to the third metal terminal of the pin base; a spin-up pin that is connected to the second metal terminal of the pin base; and a connection part that selectively connects the spin-up pin to the power-supply pin or the ground pin. When a signal received by the spin-up pin is a low-level signal, the SATA connector does not start up the hard disc drive during the computer's start-up process, and when the signal received by the spin-up pin is a high-level signal, it starts up the hard disc drive during the computer's start-up process.
