PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an important notification from each household electric appliance to a user during viewing an image content.;SOLUTION: An in-residence information notification system 1 includes: household electric appliances (a video-type intercom 300a, hot water supplier 300b, a microwave oven 300c, and a rice cooker 300d, etc.) for transmitting notification information and notification information importance degrees in accordance with the performance of predetermined processing; and an STB 200 for displaying an image content received from a content server 100 in a display part, generating a content from the notification information determined to be displayed on the basis of the importance degree of the notification information received from the household electric appliance and a previously stored application, arranging the generated content in a layer upper than a layer where the image content being displayed in the display part is arranged, and then, displaying the notification information in the display part by superimposition on the image content.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
