SURFACE POTENTIAL DISTRIBUTION MEASUREMENT DEVICE AND SURFACE POTENTIAL DISTRIBUTION MEASUREMENT METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure surface potential of an electric-field moderating system that assumes generation of inverter pulse voltage.;SOLUTION: In a surface potential distribution measurement device 1 of an electric-field moderating system 3 of a rotary electric machine, a Pockels crystal 23 between a laser 21 and a surface (tested part L) of the electric-field moderating system 3 is used, so that light intensity of laser beam reflected on a mirror 24 between the Pockels crystal 23 and the tested part L corresponds to output voltage to be potential difference between one end surface and another end surface of the Pockels crystal 23. Also, a photodetector 25 having a bandwidth following a high frequency component of inverter pulse voltage is used, so that even when the inverter pulse voltage is generated, the light intensity is detected by the photodetector 25. Thus, the surface potential distribution measurement device 1 measures surface potential of the electric-field moderating system 3 which assumes generation of the inverter pulse voltage according to the light intensity (output voltage).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
