APPARATUS FOR DETECTING PIG POSITION IN SEWAGE PUMPING CONDUIT LINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, when detecting a traveling position of a cleaning pig which is traveled in a sewage pumping conduit line to remove depositions, in the case where the pig is stopped in the middle of the conduit line, its position cannot be detected accurately.;SOLUTION: On an inner wall surface of a sewage pumping conduit line 1, an optical fiber 2 for sensor is disposed in such a manner that a cleaning pig 7 traveled in the conduit line is brought into contact, pulse light is made incident from an optical temperature sensor body 3 to the optical fiber 2 for sensor, backward scattered light emitted from the optical fiber for sensor is guided to a measuring system to measure a temperature of the optical fiber for sensor in a length direction, and measured temperature information is displayed on a display device 5 as a monitoring screen 6. The temperature of heat generated by friction caused by bringing the cleaning pig 7 being traveled into contact with the optical fiber 2 for sensor is measured by the optical temperature sensor body, thereby monitoring a traveling position of the cleaning pig 7.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
