PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide polymethoxyflavones having good qualities such as color and odor and enabling the stable separation of a polymethoxyflavones extraction liquid from an oil part independent of the solvent concentration and raw material composition. PSOLUTION: The invention provides a method for producing polymethoxyflavones comprising the extraction of polymethoxyflavones from the peel oil, essential oil extract, etc., of citrus fruits by using an aqueous solution of an organic acid as the extraction solvent, and polymethoxyflavones or an aqueous solution of an organic acid containing polymethoxyflavones produced by the production method.
