P To provide a thrust sliding bearing which improves the contact condition of a slide-contacting surface and reduces partial wear. PSOLUTION: The thrust sliding bearing is equipped with a rotating-side slide-contacting member 30 with a slide-contacting surface, a fixing side slide-contacting member 31 with a slide-contacting surface and a rotating side deforming member 40 contacting an end surface opposite to the slide-contacting surface of the rotating-side slide-contacting member 30, and a fixing side deforming member 41 contacting an end surface opposite to the slide-contacting surface of the fixing side slide-contacting member 31. When a thrust load is applied to the rotating-side slide-contacting member 30 and fixing-side slide-contacting member 31, the rotating-side deforming member 40 and fixing-side deforming member 41 are so deformed as to cause the slide-contacting surfaces to come into surface contact with each other.
