PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a bar code from being multiply read.;SOLUTION: A bar code reading means 67 emits a plurality of scanning laser beams to read a bar code, and bar code data first read by the bar code reading means 67 and scanning laser beam IDs are stored in a read data storage area 66. Then, when bar code data and scanning laser beam IDs are read, bar code data stored in the read data storage area 66 is compared with the read bar code data. When the stored bar code data and the read bar code data are identical as a result, scanning laser beam IDs are compared with each other.
