PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a branch pipe connecting device and a branch pipe connecting method capable of enhancing workability by closing split surface of a branch case easily and securely by tightening of a fastener.;SOLUTION: The branch pipe connecting device is configured to provided with a protuberance 10 including pointed circumferential wall surface 10a on inner peripheral surface of side end of a partition valve of the branch case 1. The branch pipe connecting device is formed with a recessed portion 20 on outer peripheral surface of existing tube side end of the partition valve 2. The branch pipe connecting device is configured so that the protuberance 10 is inserted into the recessed portion 20 and at the same time the circumferential wall surface 10a of the protuberance 10 and wall surface 20a of the recessed portion 20 are in surface contact with each other in case of connecting the partition valve 2 to the branch case 1. The branch pipe connecting device is configured so that flange portions of split bodies 1A, 1B are tightened up each other by the fastener 3 in the split surface of the branch case 1 and at the same time the split surface is located in the substantially horizontal direction and connection of the branch case 1 and the partition valve 2 is performed via a sealing material 5 by tightening of the fastener 3.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
