PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for widening a road bridge and a technology for a method of widening a road bridge which adopt a so-called sandwich slab obtained by connecting upper and lower steel plates with special bolts. PSOLUTION: An upper steel plate 18 for width expansion and a lower steel plate 19 for width expansion are arranged from above and below respectively, and a newly installed concrete slab 20 is installed and fixed continuously in the width direction of an existing concrete slab 16 by a highly fluidized concrete placing means. At this time, a resin material is spread or filled between the under surface of the existing concrete slab 16 and the approximately L-shaped lower edge 19d of the slab under surface 19A of the lower steel plate 19 for width expansion.
