PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for winding nonwoven fabric for a filter molding which automatically wind and fix nonwoven fabric, achieve manpower saving by automation, prevent decrease in production capacity caused by workers, thereby having increased production capacity. PSOLUTION: A filter supply mechanism 11 supplies the filter molding 102 to a filter support mechanism 12, and a nonwoven fabric supply mechanism 13 supplies the nonwoven fabric 103. A filter rotation drive mechanism 14 is controlled so as to wind the nonwoven fabric 103 around the outer periphery of the filter molding 102, while rotating the filter molding 102 supported by the filter support mechanism 12 by the filter rotation drive mechanism 14. A heater 37 is displaced by a heater displacement drive mechanism 16, and the heater displacement drive mechanism 16 and a heating mechanism 15 are controlled so as to heat-weld and fix the nonwoven fabric 103 to the outer periphery of the filter molding 102 supported by the filter support mechanism 12 by the heating mechanism 15.
