PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel species microorganism excellent in ability for reducing selenic acid compounds, a formulation for reducing the selenic acid compounds containing the microorganism as an active ingredient, a method for reducing and removing the selenic acid compounds using the microorganism, and a method for producing metal selenium.;SOLUTION: The genus Aeromonas JPCC SEP JP-1 strain, the genus Klebsiela JPCC SEP JP-2 strain, and the genus Sulfurospirillum JPCCY SEP-3 strain are provided. The method for reducing the selenic acid compounds including a process for coculturing the microorganism in the coexistence of a selenic acid compound, and the method for producing metal selenium including a process for coculturing the microorganism in the coexistence of a selenic acid compound and a process for separating the obtained cultured product, are also provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
