PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for electronic signature verification wherein the number of elements constituting an electronic signature is made smaller, the length of the electronic signature is short, the amount of information and communication is small, and the amount of calculation in verification is small.;SOLUTION: The electronic signature verification system is constituted of a registration device, an electronic signature device, and a verification device. The electronic signature device calculates, by using random numbers x and y and generators g₁ and g₂ respectively of G₁ and G₂, X=g₂^x and Y=g₂^y to generate a public key pk, and generates an electronic signature σ by using g₁, g₂, random numbers r_i, x, y, and a plaintext m_i.
