PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking lot management method and system which prevents a vehicle other than a booked one from entering a booked parking space by using a vehicle stop device and efficiently use a parking space. PSOLUTION: The parking lot management system 1 includes a vehicle stop control means for controlling the operation of the vehicle stop device provided in each parking space, a booking receiving means for receiving booking for a parking space, a use scheduled time estimating means for estimating a scheduled time at which a vehicle relating to the booking uses the parking lot, and a parking space securing means for securing a parking space relating to the booking. The vehicle stop device control means is configured to prevent a vehicle from entering the parking space by operating the vehicle stop device provided in the parking space secured by the parking space securing means when the scheduled time estimated by the use scheduled time estimating means arrives.
