PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce variation of engine compression ratio between cylinders of a duel link type multiple cylinder type internal combustion engine.;SOLUTION: A method for assembling the dual link type multiple cylinder internal combustion engine provided with an upper link 3 connected to a piston 2, a lower link 4 connecting the upper link 3 and a crankshaft 6, a control link 5 supported by an engine body side at one end thereof and connected to the lower link 4 at another end thereof, and a control shaft 7 oscillatably supporting the control link 5 to the internal combustion engine body, includes a first process sorting combinations of the lower link 4 and the upper link 3 used for each cylinder of number of cylinders out, and a second process determining the control link 5 to be combined with the lower link 4 and the upper link 3 sorted out beforehand to maintain engine compression ratio of all cylinders substantially consistent for each cylinder out of the control links sorted to a plurality of grades according to distance between axes a support part center at the engine body side and a center of the connection part with the lower link 4.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
