PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat treatment method for a coil of a wire rod, which can heat-treat the coil of the wire rod made from carbon steel without consuming much energy, and to provide a heat treatment furnace for use in the method.;SOLUTION: When the coil CL of the wire rod made from the carbon steel is vertically mounted on a pedestal 3 of the heat treatment furnace 1 and is subjected to heat treatment, the coil CL of the wire rod mounted on the pedestal 3 is heat-treated in such a state that the coil CL of the wire rod is divided into a plurality of coil parts by a plurality of members 51 for dividing the coil of the wire rod, which are arranged around the pedestal 3.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
