PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an erosion control bank and a construction method of the erosion control bank, excelling in workability and economical efficiency.;SOLUTION: A flange 8b of the upper end of a column member 8 temporarily fixed and erected on the foundation concrete 5 between concrete bank bodies 2, 2 is joined to a flange 8b of a capital section 8a projected downward from a beam member 7a disposed in the crossing direction of a river, and a flange 7f of a beam end member 7b embedded beforehand in the concrete bank body 2 is joined to a flange 7f of the end of the beam member 7a to complete a beam 7, thus constituting a steel slit dam 6.
