PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily input a character string wherein alphanumeric characters are mixed, by use of a numeric keypad. PSOLUTION: This alphanumeric character input system includes: a cellphone 1 having key buttons inscribed with numerical values and English letters; and a Web server 2 having a control part 21 which has a matrix table comprising row items each corresponding to a numerical value of each key button of the cellphone 1 and column items each corresponding to an ordinal of an alphanumeric character inscribed on each key button and which determines an input alphanumeric character by associating a first input and a second input from depressed key buttons to the row item and the column item of the matrix table.
