PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt type concentrator which can switch to wash an endless belt without circulating a belt washing solution with no added medicine and to wash the endless belt by circulating the belt washing solution with added medicine. PSOLUTION: The belt type concentrator has a storage tank 42 for storing filtrate 20 which has passed through the endless belt 16, a washing nozzle 43 for spraying the belt washing solution to the endless belt 16, a washing solution supply means 44 for supplying the filtrate 20 in the storage tank 42 to the washing nozzle 43 as the belt washing solution, a saucer 45 for receiving the belt washing solution sprayed from the washing nozzle 43 as a belt washing waste solution and a washing waste solution discharge conduit 46 for discharging the belt washing waste solution from the saucer 45 to the outside of the system. The storage tank 42 is arranged below the washing nozzle 43 and below the saucer 45. The saucer 45 has an opening 48 for circulating the belt washing waste solution from above to the storage tank 42 located below and an opening/closing plate 49 for opening/closing the opening 48.
