Creating a skin image to distinguish the invasion and layers of pigment cells

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means that facilitates clear discrimination between overlaying of the pigment cells and infiltration of the pigment cells. PSOLUTION: The condition of the skin is incorporated in a color image, disassembled into components of R, G and B, and reconstructed into respective images. After that, the color mode of a color image incorporated separately and is converted from R, G and B into L*, a* and b* color systems, respectively, and disassembled into components of L*, a* and b* to form the image constituted by reconstituting respective images. A skin image is generated by preparing a B channel image using an a* channel image and an R channel image. Using the skin image, inflammation region, overlaying of the pigment cells and infiltration of the pigment cells are discriminated. PCOPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
