PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lending management system and method by which behavior of a user who carries a lent article can be easily recognized.;SOLUTION: The lending management system uses a video image comprised of: a lent article storage which creates and transmits lending data including information specifying the lent article; an IC card which records and transmits the received lending data; a gate management device which creates passage management data including time of passing through a gate and information specifying the lent article by using the received lending data and transmits the passage management data; a network camera which creates and transmits video data including information specifying a camera, and a server device which selects the passage management data having information specifying a desired lent article, extracts video data of the gate through which the desired lent article passes by referring to a correspondence table obtained by associating information specifying the gate with the information specifying the camera and reproduces the video data from passage time of the gate to a next time of passing through the gate.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
