Debris flow analysis apparatus and method including driftwood

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To analyze a mudflow containing driftwood, bordering on an actual condition, by sorting out the driftwood into a group of light driftwood floating on water and a group of heavy driftwood sinking in water, and analyzing together with a flow of water and a flow of earth and sand. PSOLUTION: An apparatus is equipped with: a means for selecting according to a river to be analyzed a governing equation related to running water and the flow of earth and sand, and a governing equation related to the groups of driftwood, which has a governing equation related to the driftwood floating on water and a governing equation related to the driftwood sinking in water; a means for setting physical parameters for the flow of earth and sand, and physical parameters for the driftwood according to the river to be analyzed; and a means for analyzing a movement phenomenon of a mixture of earth and sand and water, and behaviors of the driftwood floating on water and the driftwood sinking in water based on the means for selecting the respective governing equations and the means for setting the respective physical parameters.
