PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate a propagation path corresponding to a variety of propagation path environments in a multilevel connection system using a multi-carrier OFDM system including OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) and OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing Access). PSOLUTION: A propagation path estimation method includes: a procedure (means) for estimating propagation paths with respect to two or more pilot signals included in an area by area to be a unit by which a pilot signal is disposed in carrier disposition of a multi-carrier system on the basis of a corresponding receiving signal; and a procedure (means) for obtaining a propagation path estimation value by multiple kinds of linear interpolation of different interpolation intervals at least with respect to either a frequency axis direction and a time axis direction regarding respective data sub-carriers belonging to the area on the basis of the propagation path estimation value obtained about the pilot signal.
