PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide collagen peptide powder having superior permeability into a horny layer and retention of bound water content, that will not cause cloudiness or reduction of the polyphenol content, when added to polyphenol-containing beverages and polyphenol-containing cosmetics, to provide a method for producing the powder, and to provide a polyphenol-containing product. PSOLUTION: The collagen peptide powder is obtained by carrying out an enzymolysis treatment of crude gelatin extracted from fish scales as a raw material, by using endopeptidase derived from a plant and an exopeptidase derived from microorganisms, in combination and treating the resultant product with activated carbon in an amount of 1.0-4.0 wt.%, based on the amount of the total solution prepared by the enzymolysis treatment. The weight-average molecular weight, in terms of polystyrene measured by GPC (gel permeation chromatography) is 3,500 or smaller, and no peak with the transmittance of 5 wt.% aqueous solution at 600 nm is observed in the range of pH region 1.5-5.5.
