PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit and a method for controlling a step-up/down DC-DC converter, which reduces temporary drop of an output voltage VOUT of the step-up/down DC-DC converter by correcting a detection resistance in switching an operation mode in the step-up/down DC-DC converter.;SOLUTION: A voltage value applied to both ends of the detection resistance can be lowered by lowering a resistance value of the detection resistance when switching the operation mode. After switching the operation mode, a control part controls the voltage value applied to both ends of the detection circuit, to the value in a previous state.
