PSOLUTION: An installation system is configured by connecting a plurality of image forming apparatuses 3 through a LAN or the like to a server. In the image forming apparatus 3 whose installation is requested, a division processing part 42 generates processing procedure information by dividing processing for installing software in each image forming apparatus 3 for every image forming apparatus 3. The generated processing procedure information is transmitted to each image forming apparatus 3 by a control part 43. The control part 43 which is transmitted or received the processing procedure information controls the operation of a download processing part 44 and an installation processing part 45 according to the processing procedure information, and performs the download and installation of software.
