Meter reading value collection method for a wireless meter reading system

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To read a meter connected to a radio meter reading terminal unit (a slave unit) out of the coverage of a radio collecting terminal unit (a master unit).;SOLUTION: Each radio meter reading terminal unit 3 has a relay function. Prior to reading a meter, the radio meter reading terminal unit 3 checks whether the radio collecting terminal unit 2 (a radio wave reaches) is in its coverage, and multistage relay paths leading to enabled radio meter reading terminal units are set for disabled radio meter reading terminal unit. In the figure, the radio meter reading terminal units 3(1-1 to 2) are in the first stage, the radio meter reading terminal units 3(2-1 to 5) communicable with the first stage are in the second stage, and the radio meter reading terminal units 3(3-1 to 3) communicable with the second stage are in the third stage.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
