PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxygen generating material continuously generating oxygen over a long period of time, and to provide a method for producing the oxygen generating material and an environment improvement method.;SOLUTION: The oxygen generating material contains coal ash granules obtained using coal ash containing calcium oxide and/or magnesium oxide and cement. Since the coal ash granules are obtained by granulation through a pozzolanic reaction, the structure is made complicated (porous). Peroxide of the calcium oxide and/or magnesium oxide contained in the coal ash is included in the coal ash granules by a peroxidation treatment. When the oxygen generating material is supplied to a dysoxic water area, oxygen generated from the peroxide dissolves slowly in the water and the dissolved oxygen concentration of the water area rises to eliminate the dysoxic state. When the oxygen generating material is supplied to bottom sediment in a reduction condition, oxygen dissolves slowly in gap water in the sludge and the bottom sludge is improved to an oxidative condition.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
