PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information retrieval system based on a behavior of a browsing person, which generates a WEB information retrieval result based on importance of a WEB document in consideration of the intention of a person who browses a web document.;SOLUTION: The information retrieval system includes: a document movement observation function 212 provided in a terminal device 21 to observe movement (the number of clicks) of the browsing person between documents using respective document links (412 and 413) in WEB documents (411, 421 and 431) ; and an information retrieval system 1 for calculating the importance of each document from a ratio (ratio of the number of clicks) of using each document link on the basis of browsed document movement information observed by the document movement observation function 212, generating a retrieval result order in consideration of the importance and returning the retrieval result order to a terminal device 22 having made a retrieval request.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
