PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce labor of an operator by preventing a control abnormality from occurring, even if performing a charge current changing operation to exceed an output capacity of a generator during charge traveling and a rotating speed changing operation of a propulsion electric motor, and to suppress upsizing and an increase of cost due to an increase of the generator capacity when mounting a new type battery.;SOLUTION: Two operation modes of a battery priority mode and an electric motor priority mode can be selected. A system control device 29 controls power for appropriating for increase amount of charge power to be obtained by lowering propulsion electric motor rotating speed Ni in a region where total power reaches an output upper limit PGS of the generator G in the "battery priority mode", and controls power for appropriating for power increase amount of the propulsion electric motor due to a rise of the propulsion electric motor rotating speed Ni to be obtained by lowering the charge power in a region where total power reaches the output upper limit PGS of the generator G in the "electric motor priority mode".
