PSOLUTION: A progressive press working apparatus has a press device 5 including a progressive die 3 and a progressive device for sequentially conveying a band-like member 1 to be pressed to the press device 5. A plurality of punch arrays 8a, 8b where punches 7a, 7b, and 7c corresponding to respective plural working stages are arranged along the progressive direction of the member 1 to be pressed are arranged ON the progressive die 3 in such a zigzag manner that the punches corresponding to the same working stage of the adjacent punch arrays 8a and 8b are displaced in a front and back direction. A notching tool 16 forming a notched part at a tip area is arranged ON a more upstream side in the progressive direction than the punch array 8b so as not to allow the punch corresponding to the respective plural working stages to contact with a tip area 14 including the tip part 11 of the member 1 to be pressed.
